When planning a destination wedding al fresco, I often encourage my brides to consider more soft and romantic bridal hairstyles. Whether a lightly tousled updo or loose elegant waves, a more simple bridal coif will perfectly complement any wedding dress style – from a flowing, ethereal gown made of layers and layers of tulle to a structured, modern dress – perfect for a Parisian wedding. For our statuesque bride at Musee Rodin, the most elegant wedding venue in Paris, only the best would do. The glamorous Lihi Hod wedding dress was perfectly complimented with a loose, tousled bun by Onorina Jomir Beauty and a sculptural crown from Mineral Bride, as seen on Magnolia Rouge.
As seen on Style Me Pretty, Benedetta’s auburn hair was styled by Sanni Sorma in the most glamorous 1920’s waves for her wedding at Villa di Geggiano in Tuscany, Italy.
For a glorious southern soiree at Boone Hall Plantation, Charleston-based designer Emily Kotarski created the most stunning wedding dress for our bride, Jenna. To allow the beautiful detail and Jenna’s statement earrings to shine, Ash & Co. Bridal Hair loosely pulled back her thick hair into a stunning twisted bun.
Inspired by a modern Marie Antoinette, this French editorial at Chateau de Varennes, as seen on Wedding Sparrow, needed a statement dress worthy of a queen. Cathy Telle’s blush cape dress was ever so elegantly framed by soft and sleek waves, expertly designed by Kassundra Stephens.
As seen on Style Me Pretty, our gorgeous Italian bride, Benedetta, started her morning at Villa Geggiano in a silk dressing gown and a loose, elegant braid, tied ever so delicately with a gold velvet ribbon by Sanni Sorma.
Coming soon to Magnolia Rouge, English rose Charlotte’s exquisite Lee Petra wedding dress was one of the most intricate and romantic gowns I have ever laid eyes on. For her autumn wedding in the English countryside, (see more in ‘Charlotte & Jamie’), British hair and makeup artist Carly Hobbs gave Charlotte an elegant updo with soft, romantic waves.
As seen on 100 Layer Cake, Bri’s effortless bun by Emily Artistry was the perfect look for her romantic summer affair at the ever stunning Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards.
Coming soon to Martha Stewart Weddings, Nicole’s grey Leanne Marshall wedding gown was the absolute perfect dress for her pre-wedding session in Santorini. The incredible Parisian makeup artist, Harold James, created four fantastic looks for our gorgeous bride – stay tuned for the publication date!
Nestled deep in the rolling hills of Provence, Mas de l’Oliviere was the backdrop to the most beautiful French soiree. For this intimate affair, our bride, Amanda, styled her gorgeous auburn hair with a cathedral-length veil and a gold crown fit for a queen.
As seen in Flutter Magazine, Devon & Ryan’s gorgeous wine country elopement at HammerSky Vineyards was truly one of the most beautiful and heartfelt days I have ever witnessed. Her loose, tousled locks were the perfect compliment to their modern California fete.
