This past September I spent a week on the mythical Greek island of Santorini, Greece for a stunning two-day wedding (more to come – soon!) and, by pure serendipity, happened to also be there during the same time as the lovely and talented Christa Hitchcock and her husband, Connor. I spent the morning with C&C chasing the luminous Santorini light and documenting their love story on film. Scroll down for al the beauty

For Christa & Connor’s Santorini engagement photos, Christa wore a blue and white striped linen wrap dress from JCrew that perfectly complemented the azure waters (and her gorgeous blue eyes!) that Greece is known for.
Everywhere you turn, each backdrop is more beautiful than the last. Although there is virtually no shade on the island, Oia remains a stunning location for Santorini engagement photos from sunrise through sunset. The way the light reflects off the white buildings and the surrounding Aegean Sea creates a surreal, almost dream-like effect…sometimes I felt like I was living in a Giorgio de Chirico painting.
I love the way the breeze caught Christa’s hair in this photo. It made her laugh at the exact right moment to create an image that beautifully represented her and Connor’s loving and lighthearted relationship.
For being such a small town, Oia is absolutely filled with stunning locations for Santorini engagement photos. In addition to the stunning sunset views, I particularly love the beautifully patinaed walls and doors – each one different than the last. To me, they tell such a story of the island’s history.
Santorini remains one of the favorite places I have ever traveled and one of my absolute top picks for the best destination wedding locations in the world.
