Musee Rodin Wedding | Paris Garden Wedding

This summer I had the honor of photographing the most beautiful Musee Rodin wedding editorial – a truly stunning day at one of my absolute favorite wedding venues in France. “Celebrating femininity and Parisian chic we are transported to another world by Paris wedding photographer, Molly Carr, with these romantic images. Inspired by the Musee Rodin – an 18th century mansion with high ceilings, intricate moldings and huge rooms bathed in light – this creative team utilized the grand staircase for some stunning bridal portraits. The peaceful gardens further inspired with their stunning sculptures, the views of the Invalides and the Eiffel tower.

Stylist Murielle Novarre of Intens’Events tells us, “When Molly and I decided to put together an editorial shoot in Paris, right from the start we wanted to showcase a location steeped in history, with magnificent architecture, mixing art and culture. For a wedding, the Musee Rodin is all this at once but it is also a romantic, serene, almost intimate place. It was the perfect backdrop for our shoot.

We created an elegant, glamorous aesthetic with both timeless and modern touches, deliberately embracing the “less is more” philosophy. We envisioned our young bride to be vulnerable yet confident, romantic yet stylish and a bit mysterious. She wore a gorgeous Lihi Hod dress, with a clean and couture line. A real masterpiece all by itself! The beautiful gold and pearl headpiece, the natural and soft makeup and refined hairstyle completed the minimal sophistication of the bridal look. For the bride’s bouquet, we chose delicate garden roses in a soft romantic colour palette with shades of blush pink, peaches, and pale yellows.

We created an intimate and minimal installation for the Musee Rodin wedding ceremony, using the green wall as a natural background. The dinner table was set on the outside terrace, right in front of the mansion in order to showcase its shining rocaille architecture. We used a warm colour palette with both pale and bright pinks, whites and pale yellows in order to create a joyful atmosphere. We wanted the floral design to feel organic and effortless as if we just cut these gorgeous roses right from the garden. We also wanted the table to be elegant and both modern and timeless so we incorporated ivory and golden touches, used a classic tableware, simple table linen, calligraphy escort cards and geometric chairs. To complete the design, we wanted to add an old word charm touch. The calligraphy, handmade paper, and gold wax seal of the paper goods brought this timeless elegance that we were looking for.

Paris is always inspiring, so it only felt right to finish the shoot showcasing the most beautiful parts of the City of Love.”
