2018 was a year filled with beauty, love, and adventure. We traveled across the world documenting fairytales and romances from the old-world villas of Tuscany to the grand boulevards of Paris to the rolling hills of California, and everywhere in between. I feel so incredibly fortunate to have been able to make lifelong friendships with so many amazing couples and vendors and am heading into 2019 overflowing with inspiration. To celebrate our adventures, I have pulled together my list of the best wedding dresses of 2018. Scroll down for all of the beauty!

For our statuesque bride at Musee Rodin, the most elegant wedding venue in Paris, only the best would do. The glamorous Lihi Hod wedding dress featured sculptural, modern lines with a feminine neckline and ruffle for a truly couture look as seen on Magnolia Rouge.
Coming soon to Style Me Pretty, Benedetta’s handmade silk dressing gown from Pandore made her look like she had just stepped out of a Renaissance fresco at the stunning Villa di Geggiano (see more in ‘Renaissance bride’).
Coming soon to Martha Stewart Weddings, Nicole’s grey Leanne Marshall wedding gown was the absolute perfect dress for her pre-wedding session in Santorini. For her Greek elopement, she chose an even more beautiful gown which I am so eager to share – stay tuned for the publication date!
Inspired by a modern Marie Antoinette, this French editorial at Chateau de Varennes, as seen on Wedding Sparrow, needed a statement dress worthy of a queen. Cathy Telle’s blush wedding dress paired with a flowing cape embellished with delicate, fluttering petals was truly fit for a fairytale.
Nestled deep in the rolling hills of Provence, Mas de l’Oliviere was the backdrop to the most beautiful French soiree. For our bride, Amanda, Emily Kotarski hand-crafted the delicate gown with chantilly and baroque French Alencon lace.
Coming soon to Magnolia Rouge, English rose Charlotte’s exquisite Lee Petra wedding dress was one of the most intricate and romantic gowns I have ever laid eyes on. The hand-beaded detail and pale blush color was the perfect touch for her autumn wedding in the English countryside, (see more in ‘Charlotte & Jamie’).
For a glorious southern soiree at Boone Hall Plantation, Charleston-based designer Emily Kotarski created the most stunning wedding dress for our bride, Jenna. As described by Emily, “I knew the second I set eyes on the delicate, beaded floral embellishment that it needed to be incorporated into the bodice of this gown. To complete the look, a thoughtfully placed, floral beaded appliqué accentuated the bride’s sleeves and bodice to bring elements of the elevated, outdoor setting into the gown.”
Coming soon to Style Me Pretty, Benedetta’s intricately embellished wedding gown from Pandore paired with a rose velvet belt made her look like she had just stepped out of a Renaissance fresco at the stunning Villa di Geggiano (see more in ‘Renaissance bride’).
For this sophisticated winter editorial shoot, designer Carol Hannah loaned not one but two stunning wedding dresses to compliment the statuesque look of our model, Hope, and the whimsical backdrop handpainted by Autumn Keller of Isibeal Studio.
As seen in Flutter Magazine, Devon & Ryan’s gorgeous wine country elopement at HammerSky Vineyards was truly one of the most beautiful and heartfelt days I have ever witnessed. Her dress, designed by Sarah Seven, was the perfect compliment to their modern California fete.
Ever the bohemian bride, Samantha chose a stunning lace wrap dress by Rue de Seine for her Normandy destination wedding (I absolutely love how she decided to go barefoot and to embrace the romantic Midsummer Night’s Dream vibe) and Parisian honeymoon session.
Charleston designer Emily Kotarski Bridal custom designed this high-necked wrap dress for our bride, Emily, at South Carolina’s Legare Waring House. Inspired by Southern Gothic romance novels, I love how Emily paired her dress with a modern crown by Emma Katka.
For Leif & Grania’s sophisticated New York City wedding, Grania chose a stunning embellished Jenny Packham wedding gown which she paired with the most gorgeous velvet Jimmy Choo pumps!
Squeezing in just one day before the end of 2018, Tessa’s stunning wedding gown was simply too beautiful to miss. Embellished with the most delicate pearls, it was truly the perfect look for her winter wedding. I’m looking forward to sharing more from her and Rob’s special day soon!
