I’m thrilled to share that Wedding Sparrow, in addition to Style Me Pretty, has featured our autumn wedding editorial at the storied Villa di Geggiano, perched regally above the rolling hills of Tuscany, Italy. The shoot with the incredible Anne and Nancy of Fete Event Planning and Isibeal Studio featured not one, but three stunning wedding gowns and two decadent tablescapes, and was truly too magnificent to condense into one post. Scroll down for all the beauty and check back tomorrow for Part II of the editorial!

As told by Autumn Keller of Isibeal Studio, “Villa di Geggiano is a beautiful Tuscan villa with a long and romantic history in the Bianchi Bandinelli family who have owned it since 1527. Once you reach the villa, surrounded by its aged stone wall, centuries-old cypress trees, and situated high above the gently rolling hills of the Tuscan vineyards and olive groves, the outside world slips away. The villa’s interior was fully re-decorated in 1780 to celebrate a special wedding in the family. All of these decorations, hand-painted frescoes, first edition wallpapers brought in from Paris and specially crafted furniture are still intact, each surface softened over time with a beautiful patina.
There is such a sense of history and place here-both of the land and the grand villa. Awed by the incredible patinated beauty of the villa and its grounds, we hope to inspire couples in love with images that breath a sense of it’s magic and romanticism.
Imagine a couple stumbling upon this graciously aged villa and finding rooms already adorned with fresh flowers, strolling the garden to discover a table set with glowing candlelight, exquisitely colored blooms and sugared fruit. In this place it is easy to believe that they were placed there by the gods; some little figures stepping from a fresco and creating beauty for the sake of love.
The now muted but once colorful hues of Villa di Geggiano’s frescoes and the textures and fruits of the late Tuscan summer inspired the floral palette. Dahlias, cosmos, nicotiana, zinnias and other local specialty blooms were gathered from a local flower farm. Each element was designed to seem as though it fit naturally into the villa and maybe just happened to come to life from the surroundings.”
