Jardin des Tuileries | Fine Art Destination Wedding Photographer

On a warm spring day in early June we arrived to the final destination of our French road trip – my favorite city in the world – Paris. I could barely contain my excitement – running up to our hotel room to quickly drop off our bags so that we could head out to explore. We stopped in a quiet cafe for a light lunch and then headed out on foot towards the Seine. My favorite part about visiting Paris is that, because we have been there so many times, we really never feel the need to do anything in particular other than wandering the beautiful boulevards, elegant parks, quaint alleyways, and inspiring museums.

We spent the afternoon enjoying the unseasonably lovely weather in the Jardin des Tuileries. It seemed like all of Paris had the same idea, as the park was filled with revelers of all ages eager to soak up the warm Parisian sunshine. Children jumped on trampolines and took turns riding the carousel. Friends sat in the iconic green chairs enjoying a late afternoon picnic and bottles of wine. Lovers strolled hand-in-hand through rows of trimmed chestnut trees. It was truly the perfect Parisian day.

After spending a few moments exploring with my camera, Ryan and I grabbed two chairs and leaned back to take in the beautiful cloudless sky. We sat for what felt like hours, reading, laughing, and dreaming about what life would be like if we lived in Paris together. C’est parfait.
