A few hours after Jillian & Alex’s beautiful pre-wedding session at the Mount, we once again gathered at Blantyre to welcome their guests with a beautiful rehearsal dinner, as seen on Over the Moon. Jillian, an interior designer, worked with her wedding planner, Nicole Simeral, to create a romantic evening to perfectly compliment the black-tie festivities scheduled for the following day. As a Lenox wedding photographer, it was an absolute dream to be a part of their entire wedding weekend which not only gave us ample opportunities to artfully document their love story but to also truly to get to know their friends and family, allowing us to create photos that are that much more heartfelt and timeless.

For their welcome party at Blantyre, the elegant Jillian once again turned to her wedding dress designer, Monique Lhullier, for a beautiful ruffled gown with accents of blush and pink. Alex opted for a refined bone-colored double breasted jacket paired with linen pants and brown suede loafers.
Friends and family were greeted on the terrace of Blantyre by bartenders serving the couple’s signature cocktail for the evening – ‘La Vie en Rose’. Waiters served passed hors d’oeuvres showcasing the freshest local produce and coastal catches, a specialty of the team helmed by Michelin chef Daniel Boulud.
While the festivities were planned to take place in the estate’s gardens, a midsummer storm encouraged Jillian & Alex to move their dinner into Blantyre’s historic music room which Winston Flowers adorned with blooms that were inspired by the color palette of the bride’s Monique Lhullier gown.
The welcome menus were custom made by Floraison Design Co with every guests’ name on the top. The design for the menus was inspired by Jillian’s love of Chinoiserie, birds, and butterflies.
The dinner was kicked off by a heartfelt speech from Alex’s father. Guests enjoyed the fantastic cuisine and wine pairings, toasting the couple and their love story!
