On a gloriously sunny winter’s afternoon, Tessa & Robert were married in front of their closest friends and family at the beautiful Laurel Hall Estate. The morning started with champagne and puppy cuddles in the light-filled bridal suite (Tessa & Rob’s darling King Charles Cavalier Spaniel, Louis, kept us laughing all day) and as the day progressed the feeling of love and joy continued to radiate off of each and every one of their guests and bridal party.
When I first met the couple we immediately bonded over our shared affinity toward Paris (Tessa studied abroad there) and French culture, and I absolutely loved seeing how Tessa incorporated this love into their wedding day. From the venue, reminiscent of a French chateau, to the French blue accent color found on her mismatched bridesmaid dresses (some of my absolute favorites!), wedding invitations, and table settings. Inspired by the elegance of Europe, Tessa’s wedding gown, with its delicate pearl embellishments, was truly the perfect dress for their winter wedding.
Tessa & Robert’s wedding day was absolutely filled with magical moments, but one of my favorites was when her dad walked her down the aisle to the Breakfast at Tiffany’s theme song, ‘Moon River’ – there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. The couple chose to write their own vows (something I always recommend to couples) which were personal, sincere, and absolutely heartfelt. As later expressed in Robert’s best man’s speech, Rob knew within months that Tessa was the woman he would marry, and after hearing their beautiful vows it was so incredibly obvious to both myself and to each and every one of their guests that the two were truly meant to be together.
I feel so incredibly fortunate for having been a part of Tessa & Robert’s elegant and heartfelt wedding day and know, for this special couple, the best is truly yet to come. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Tessa and Rob, and congratulations!
