After a week in Provence we hopped into our tiny Renault and headed north to the Loire Valley. If the region’s bucolic countryside and quaint villages weren’t dreamy enough by themselves, it is absolutely overflowing with châteaus. Last week we spent nearly a week in beautiful Aspen exploring the mountains, drinking far too much champagne, taking snow walks, and eating fondue. I absolutely love snow, so being in the winter wonderland of Aspen was an absolute dream come true. When we first started planning our European honeymoon, I knew we had to make a stop in Tuscany to visit Borgo Santo Pietro. The 15-room property, set in a 13th-century villa, is home to a gourmet cooking school and a Michelin-starred restaurant, plus a casual trattoria with an outdoor wood-fired pizza oven.
