Every so often you get one of those inquiries that sends your heart aflutter – and for me, this happened earlier this summer with a message from designer, stylist, and ballerina Monica Francis. Monica and her husband Harrison were traveling to Paris in late September for their five-year-anniversary, and Monica was interested in creating a beautifully styled shoot showcasing her brand vision. I immediately connected with her sophisticated imagery and her passion for travel (she and Harrison spent all last summer traveling through Europe – #goals), and when she told me her brand inspiration included Audrey Hepburn and the beautiful facade of Au Rocher de Cancale, I just knew that we would click!
The day before our shoot, Monica and Harrison spent the afternoon scouting out locations in her favorite neighborhood – Saint-Germain-des-Prés. She came back to me with a photo map of the most photogenic cafés, gardens, streets, and doors (down to the exact street number) that perfectly fit her brand palette. It’s not often I have clients who are this detail-oriented and aesthetically-driven, and it set us up for a truly perfect day. From the chicest scalloped Chloé heels to a swoon-worthy black Steamline trunk (gifted to her by her husband), everything about the day was impeccably curated by the lovely and talented Monica. The three of us had such a nice time exploring Paris together that we decided to continue the day with an early dinner at Frenchie Bar à Vins (highly recommended)!
See a sneak peek of Monica’s beautiful shoot below, and stay tuned for day two of our Paris photography session – Monica & Harrison’s anniversary photos on Île Saint-Louis!
