This past January, I surprised Ryan with a trip to go skiing in the French Alps. However, a trip to France is never complete without spending time in Paris, so of course, we extended our holiday and spent an extra week in the City of Light. Paris film photography is one of my biggest passions in life, and there is nothing I cherish more than exploring the beautiful boulevards and charming alleys with my husband and my film camera (the only thing missing was our beloved rescue pup, Yoda).
If you follow me on Instagram, you will know that I was absolutely head over heels for the incredible flat that we rented on Airbnb. It was perfectly situated in the 3rd arrondissement near the Musée Picasso and just a few minutes walk from Place des Vosges, the charming Saint-Paul neighborhood, and the Seine. While Paris in the winter is notoriously dreary and wet, we were greeted with mild temperatures and less two hours of rain throughout our entire trip.
In addition to all of our favorite Parisian haunts (which can be found on my Honeymooner’s Guide to Paris as seen on Style Me Pretty), we tried out some new restaurants and exhibits, including our personal favorite – the Irving Penn exhibition at the Grand Palais. Seeing Penn’s masterful use of light, composition, and black and white film was incredibly inspiring and has made me excited to incorporate even more of this beautiful medium into my client’s wedding stories.
No matter how many times I visit Paris I never cease to fall even more in love with the beautiful city. The architecture, the light, the history, the elegance – it is truly like nowhere else on Earth. Are you thinking about getting married in Paris but are unsure where to start? Send me a note and I’d be delighted to help you find the perfect venue and vendors for your destination wedding in France.

Even the clouds look more beautiful in Paris. Your eye for color and composition is spot on. Gorgeous photos. Can’t wait to go back to the City of Light
