I have been counting down the days until James & Kaleigh’s Laurel Hall wedding ever since their dreamy engagement session last summer. Not only are they two of the nicest people who I have ever met, but their love and respect for each other are apparent within moments of meeting them.
Ever since I met Kaleigh she had expressed how much she wanted an al fresco wedding, and the entire week leading up to their wedding we were checking the weather every five minutes with bated breath. Summer in the Midwest is always unpredictable, however, despite the forecast for rain the entire weekend, the weather held out and turned into a beautifully warm evening – the perfect wedding for their dream wedding under the stars.
James & Kaleigh’s wedding was a sophisticated soiree inspired by European gardens, and favorite details included their lucite seating chart floating effortlessly from a tree, the amazing pergola built over their head table that was overflowing with romantic greenery and dozens of floating candles, and not one but two of the most heartfelt first looks I have ever seen (Brides – if you are even considering doing a first look with your dad I cannot recommend it enough!) Joy radiated from the couple throughout the entire day and it was truly my honor to be able to capture their beautiful love story. Kaleigh and James, thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day!
