This past fall I had the incredible opportunity to travel to England and spend two days creating with the amazingly talented sister duo of Lily & Sage. Today, I’m thrilled to share that our work has been featured by Magnolia Rouge.
Katie and Nancy had been my Instagram friends for years and, last spring, graciously offered to host my mom and I in their family’s unbelievably charming home in the English countryside. Of course, we said yes, and within moments of meeting these lovely ladies and their beautiful mother felt like we were truly a part of their family. Scroll down to see all of the beauty and read the full story.

As told by Katie & Nancy of Lily & Sage, “This soft and elegant editorial with wedding planners and stylists Lily & Sage and Cotswolds wedding photographer Molly Carr was set in a privately owned Hall in a quaint and historic English hamlet. The stationery suite was inspired by the natural beauty of autumn. Hand illustrated floral designs by Owl Post Calligraphy created a romantic and feminine mood.
The unique design touches throughout the house inspired the dusky pink and peach toned colour palette with hints of black. The beautiful contrast between modern furnishings, baroque style gilded antiques and botanical elements created eye-catching textures.
Styling included hand dyed silk ribbons and linens designed by Lancaster & Cornish for the dramatic and yet intimate table for two, paired with natural and full flowers by Bloom Fleuriste. This created a whimsical undone setting with an abundance of colour and texture. We wanted to create a delicate yet moody sense of femininity to contrast with the darker autumnal tones, the brown leaves, the ruby heirloom ring and the black antique lace.
The timeless nude colour embellished gown by Lee Petra Grebenau was incredibly intricate and added beautiful detail. The bride embraced a mood of contemplation capturing the ethereal elegance of the hall and all of its unique nooks and archways.”
