Our jeweler, Mellerio dits Meller, dates back to 1613 and claims the title of the oldest jeweler in the world. Mellerio has been the appointed jeweler of all the queens of France since Marie de Medicis who awarded her Royal Warrant in 1613, and it is reported that Queen Marie Antoinette may have purchased a bracelet designed by Mellerio. For this editorial, we featured high jewelry from Mellerio’s Monte Rosa collection, featuring diamonds and pink sapphires reminiscent of the floral appliqué seen throughout Château de Villette.
We selected Chana Marelus’s Daniella gown as another nod to the venue’s architectural detail, with floral appliqués trailing the sleeves – the perfect look for this regal Chateau de Villette wedding.
At this Chateau de Villette wedding reception, French antique sapphire and white plates are set with Parisian blue menus with draped tassels. Cream candles dot the table in old world silver candelabras and French antique crystals sparkles atop Madame de la Maison’s mont blanc linens, grown and woven in Europe. Lush roses spill from compotes of Lily Paloma’s blooms in hues of cream, blush, and butter.
Regal paperie by Shasta Bell Calligraphy incorporates a gold crest, timeless script, and menus with tassels for a feeling of romanticism and elegance.
The château’s botanical architectural detail of climbing garden roses inspired custom hair adornments. Lena Rom’s handmade adornments of cold porcelain clay flowers are completely custom, with flower by flower shaped by hand.
The Heather gown by Chana Marelus continues the floral appliqué concept as well as the symmetry iconic to traditional French gardens, as see in the gardens of Château de Villette and Versailles.
The Chateau de Villette wedding ceremony was designed brilliantly by Lily Paloma Flowers and incorporated elegant garden blooms on the château’s terrace.
Our bride explored the historic gardens on foot, gazing up to admire the magnificence and grandeur of the elegant Neoclassical château.
For the romantic, Francophile bride, a Chateau de Villette wedding is truly a dream come true. With luxurious interiors, decadent guest suites, and royal gardens – this venue checks all of the boxes for the perfect destination wedding in France! Want to learn more? Contact me and let’s chat!
