Kelsie and Samir, California-based gourmands, spent two days in the French countryside celebrating their love with sixty of their closest friends and family. Château Bouthonvilliers, a bucolic 16th century estate in the Loire Valley where ducks and horses leisurely roam the abundant grounds, played host to their events. With the bride in Emilia Wicksead and Reem Acra, the groom in Tom Ford, and the mother of the bride in Oscar de la Renta, fashion played a major part in this al fresco black-tie destination wedding. Guests were greeted at the château with custom door tags showing each couple’s name on their guest room. Inside, they found charming welcome baskets which featured French wine, soap, jam, and baguette.

For their welcome party, Kelsie opted for a stunning Emilia Wickstead column gown that she paired with a pearl headband and bespoke diamond and pearl earrings. Dinner was a monochromatic pink affair. Guests dined on one long table in front of the grand château everything from the linens to flowers were clad in fifty shades of pink. Classic French musicians added to the romantic ambiance. One of the best parts of their Chateau Bouthonvilliers wedding photography was being able to create imagery amongst all of the exquisite locations on the beautiful, historic property.

A misty day awaited Kelsie and Samir on their wedding and the couple handled the rain with utter grace and joy. Kelsie donned an exquisite Reem Acra off-the-shoulder gown adorned with thousands of three dimensional floral appliques. Her brother custom diamond and pearl earring were designed by her brother, who also served as her man of honor. Kelsie’s mother opted for Oscar de la Renta. Samir wore a classic Tom Ford tuxedo. The moment that her mom and brother helped her into her gown was a particularly emotional one.

“MOLLY IS THE BEST! We hand picked all of our vendors and Molly was phenomenal. Her photography quality, communication, and team were absolutely amazing!”
– Kelsie & Samir

The couple dreamed of getting married outside, and the weather parted just in time for them to say ‘I do’ in front of Chateau Bouthonvilliers’ historic stables. Their close family friend officiated the ceremony and they opted to surprise each other with their own vows—there was not a dry eye in the house.

Dinner was served under a tent that sparkled with candlelight while the rain softly fell outside. The couple served an elaborate tasting menu with vintage French wine pairings hand-selected by the groom. The three-tiered wedding cake made in Paris featured hand-painted three dimensional flower appliques designed to reflect those on the bride’s gown. Finally, the couple and their guests headed to the dance floor where the celebrations continued late into the night.
