Chris & Nicole are an incredible West Coast couple who, for their wedding, decided they wanted a romantic experience just for the two of them. Santorini had always been on their bucket list, so it only made sense for them to choose this stunning locale for their destination elopement.
Nicole’s gorgeous Harry Winston ring has a beautiful story of its own. She and Chris have always loved scavenger hunts, so as a surprise Chris organized one for the two of them that took them all over LA. They ended up at the Harry Winston boutique on Rodeo Drive, and, as the store was already closed, Nicole was surprised that the next clue actually led them inside. The owner opened the store for them and presented the final clue in the form of the question, “What, in this store, is worth more than the Hope Diamond?” Nicole turned around and Chris was down on one knee with the answer – it was Nicole that is more precious than the famed diamond itself. He proposed then and there and the rest is history!
The paper goods, designed by Shasta Bell Calligraphy, beautifully pulled in the famed blue domes of Oia. As a Santorini wedding photographer, I love when couples choose to subtly incorporate elements inspired by the beautiful locale, and these handmade wedding invitations were a perfect touch.
Fashionable Nicole chose these gorgeous white Gianvito Rossi heels which perfectly complimented her ivory silk wedding gown by Elizabeth Fillmore.
Nicole was a dream come true in her elegant Elizabeth Fillmore wedding gown. With it’s draped silhouette and flowing silk she looked like an absolute Greek goddess.
I stumbled upon this abandoned building on the edge of Oia and knew it would be the perfect location for their portraits. With the gorgeous color palette and delicate patina, it provided a simple and intimate backdrop which was the perfect pairing to the epic vistas of Santorini.
There is far too much beauty to be shared in one post so be sure to see Part II to see their epic ceremony and their romantic dinner on the edge of the Earth!
