On a luminous winter afternoon in Paris, Americans Molly and Kenny celebrated their love at the most elegant destination in France. As a Ritz Paris wedding photographer, there is no place better to get married in the City of Light than this iconic Parisian hotel, which has been home to everyone from Ernest Hemingway to F. Scott Fitzgerald to Coco Chanel. Scroll to read more about their gorgeous French elopement.

Founded in 1898 by the “king of hoteliers, and hotelier to kings,” César Ritz, the Ritz Paris immediately became the place to be amongst the elite, and in 2016 the hotel reopened after a $450 million renovation. To this day, it remains one of the best hotels in the world and the place to be during Paris fashion week.
Molly and Kenny envisioned a romantic Parisian wedding for two, and the beautiful day started with the couple getting ready together in their elegant suite at the Ritz. The elegant Molly opted for a beaded column gown from Berta, whose romantic detailing was reminiscent of a winter snowfall. Of course, Christian Louboutins are a must for any Parisian wedding, and Molly’s beautiful lace heels perfectly complimented her gown.
After the preparations were complete, Molly and Kenny opted for a romantic first look in their suite’s living room. The groom looked especially dapper in his bespoke tuxedo, and we spent a few minutes getting photos amongst the suite’s beautiful backdrops before heading out in Paris.
Christmas at the Ritz Paris is an absolute dream come true, with two twenty foot fresh fir trees delicately flocked in white that turn the hotel’s entrance into what feels like a forest dusted with fresh fallen snow.
Walking amongst the footsteps of literary giants and fashion icons such, the worldly couple visited all of the most iconic spots in the City of Light before their sunset ceremony at the Ritz Paris. Our first destination? The beautiful Pont Alexandre III – the most grandiose bridge in the city.
Of course, a Parisian elopement would never be complete without a visit to the Louvre, and as a Ritz Paris wedding photographer this is an absolute must-visit destination on my photography list. Instead of shooting around the touristic glass pyramid, we decided to instead celebrate the museum’s incredible architecture including my personal favorite—Napoleon’s Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel.
Finally, we headed to the 16th arrondissement for my personal favorite Eiffel Tower view in the city.
As the sun dipped below the Seine we headed back to the Ritz Paris where Molly & Kenny were wed in the beautiful Salon César Ritz.
To complete their extraordinary day, the couple enjoyed a decadent tasting menu prepared by the incredible Michelin-starred culinary team at the Ritz Paris, sipped effervescent champagne, and toasted their marriage with a slice of Parisian wedding cake. The day could not have been more beautiful or romantic and I will forever be grateful to have been a part of Molly & Kenny’s Ritz Paris love story!
