Today, I’m excited to share that this magical day at Boone Hall Plantation has been featured by The Bridal Theory! Visit The Bridal Theory for more, and read below from the amazing wedding planner and designer, Cayleigh of The Petal Report.
“Whether you are looking for a grand wedding full of a large guest count or a romantic setting for a few, Boone Hall Plantation in Charleston, South Carolina lends itself to either. For our garden inspired shoot, we envisioned a small elopement for our stunning couple with a lavish yet intimate dinner to follow under the willowing oaks at one of the Holy City’s top destinations.
The overlying theme was romance and that was certainly carried throughout the entirety of this shoot. From the textured linens to the happy couple, love and intimacy were wrapped within every detail.
Looking to go with a more pastel color palette, we decided to use a bolder linen choice of a pale blue with an intricate design to be a bit of a pop against the lighter flowers. The dishware, with their floral and colored pattern, was the perfect contrast to the florals while also playing into them with their hints of blue as well.
Cru Catering created a delectable spread for our couple including a charcuterie table with a whole lamb prosciutto leg, artisanal cheeses and cured meats, local honeycomb, and seasonal fruits. The multi-course dinner started with yellow beet consomme, continued with gravlax with asparagus brioche and a poached quail egg as well as beef ribeye tartar, and finished with a classic slice of wedding cake from ABCD Cakes.
Last, but certainly not least, was the bespoke gown created by Emily Kotarski Bridal Design. As described by Emily, “I knew the second I set eyes on the delicate, beaded floral embellishment that it needed to be incorporated into the bodice of this gown. The structure of the corset in the bodice proposed a perfect compliment to the light and airy feel of the full, ballgown tulle skirt. To complete the look, a thoughtfully placed, floral beaded appliqué accentuated the bride’s sleeves and bodice to bring elements of the elevated, outdoor setting into the gown.”
With a dream team of vendors, extravagant three-course meal, custom invitation suite, and stunning centerpieces, Molly Carr was able to capture The Petal Report’s vision perfectly on film.”
