Two days after Samantha & Pierre’s beautiful destination wedding in Normandy (see the photos here), we spent a golden summer evening exploring Paris. Samantha re-wore her stunning Rue de Seine ‘Wild Harlow‘ gown, and their laid-back sophistication and beautiful connection (seriously, it was impossible to take a bad photo of these two) felt totally reminiscent of a modern-day Jane Birkin and Serge Gainsbourg.
First up for the evening, the charming and quiet streets of Saint-Germain including one of Pierre’s favorite places in the city – Place de Furstenberg.
Next, we were off to the Seine, stopping along the way at a corner market to pick up a chilled bottle of Veuve Cliquot. Sam & Pierre sat by the water watching the boats float by and waving to passengers who were eager to share their congratulations (and perhaps snap a photo themselves). Although there were no champagne flutes nearby, Sam & Pierre didn’t let that stop them and toasted their marriage with champagne drank straight from the bottle – so very Parisian chic!
Finally, we headed up to Pont Neuf to watch the sun slowly set over the Seine. Not only is this bridge one of the most iconic locations in Paris, but it was also the place where Pierre told Samantha that he loved her for the first time – a truly fitting way to end the most magical destination wedding weekend!
