Three years ago, when Kevin and Lelia were wed, Kevin promised in his vows that one day he would kiss her under the Eiffel Tower. This past week, as a Paris wedding film photographer, I had the immense honor of joining them in this momentous moment to watch as their long-awaited dream finally came true. Seeing Lelia’s face light up as she turned the corner in Place Trocadéro and, for the first time, saw the Eiffel Tower softly illuminated by the early morning light, is a memory that I will forever cherish. I simply stepped back and allowed them to have their time to soak in the moment, and quietly snapped away as they hugged, kissed, laughed, and marveled at the sheer magnitude of the Eiffel Tower’s beauty. A true gentleman, Kevin surprised Lelia by playing their favorite song, and like he has done countless times before in their kitchen, held out his hand and asked her to dance. I am so thankful for a job that allows me to meet such wonderful couples in amazing destinations, but most of all, I am thankful for having the privilege of being able to witness, document, and immortalize deep, meaningful, and true love – something that Kevin and Lelia so obviously share.
